Meet the Team
Trevor Hicks
Founder/President
Trevor is a recent transplant to East Texas from North Dallas. He founded ETXFS in 2025 as attempt to build a community around his interest in film, and make friends. Trevor is on the Tyler Film Festival committee, and a donor to Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary, The Historic Select Theater, O'Malley Alley Cat Rescue, and Tyler Area Gays.

Caleb Lorance
Treasurer
Caleb is a Tyler native and Army veteran who has been making short films since childhood. From sixth grade to the end of high school, he was an actor in One Act Play. As a filmmaker, he was the first student in his high school's history to advance to the UIL Young Filmmakers Festival. He has co-directed and co-written several short films that have been screened at multiple film festivals. His filmmaking experience includes writing, directing, editing, and a particular passion for production sound.

Craig O'Daniel
Board of Directors
Craig has been leading the charge at Tyler Film Festival for the past several years bringing legitimacy and clear direction to the annual event. He also has film production experience (in various roles) including his role as the City of Tyler's Multimedia Producer, and a degree in Film Production and Mass Communications.

Jeremy Weaver
Secretary
Originally from Marshall, Texas, Jeremy moved to Tyler in 2020 and he is thrilled to help shape East Texas Film Society. His passion for cinema began at a young age, highlighted by his time working as a projectionist at the Marshall Cinema. Jeremy pursued this passion in college as a Theatre major, participating in several live productions, and honing the craft of acting and directing. He holds an Associate of Science degree from Panola College and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Performance from East Texas Baptist University

Dani DeFoe
Board of Directors
Dani has been an advocate for arts and culture in East Texas since 2012, having worked with Lit Tyler Collective and Henderson Civic Theatre. Currently, she is leading the charge on the Kooky Tuesday film series taking place at Liberty Hall starting in March, focusing on cult and classic films.
